Bernadette H. Kelleher - President
Bernadette joined High Line Health in July 2017 as president, succeeding its founder, John Farrell. Bernadette is a seasoned health care executive with extensive experience working for both provider organizations and payers on payment models and data reporting that support population health and quality improvement. Bernadette’s payer experience includes holding various provider network management leadership positions over 13 years at Anthem in its NY and CT markets and at a national level for its Medicare division.
Bernadette worked in the Boston area for 8 years, where she led managed care contracting for provider organizations. During that time, she negotiated risk contracts and oversaw provider reporting and contract performance for the Provider Service Network, a management services organization (MSO) representing CareGroup and the Lahey Clinic. In addition, she managed and negotiated risk contracts for an ophthalmology network affiliated with the New England Eye Center. Bernadette began her career in New York in health care communications and marketing.
Bernadette earned her B.A. from New York University and M.B.A. in Healthcare Administration from The Baruch College/Mt. Sinai School of Medicine Healthcare Program.
She was the recipient of the Women In Health Management’s President’s Award in 2010 and received a Rising Star Award from Business New Haven in 2011. She currently serves as secretary on the board of JDRF’s Westchester/Fairfield Chapter.
John J. Farrell - Co-Founder
John J. Farrell has studied the American Health delivery system from many vantage points. John has a reputation as one who repeatedly brings fresh insight and creativity to the broad range of health delivery and financing issues impacting today’s healthcare debate. As Commissioner of Hospitals and Health Care for two Connecticut Governors, John had the opportunity to shape public policy and deal directly with the issues impacting the quality and affordability of health care. He has also held executive positions in both the insurance and hospital industries.
In 2002 John founded Urix LLC, a company that combines highly skilled health care consulting resources with state of the art "train of thought" analytical technology. Today, Urix technology is utilized by some of the nation’s largest health insurers, labor unions and employers to make critical health care decisions. In September of 2007 URIX was sold to Verisk Analytics of Jersey City, N.J. In January of 2010 John formed High Line Health along with co founder Gregory Gorin. The company provides Health Insurers, Accountable Care Organizations and Large Employer groups with web based applications that facilitate the measurement and tracking health care quality and efficiency. High Line Health has been a pioneer in the development of visualization analytics used to convey complex and nuanced observations to a broad range user groups.
John has serves on a number of hospital and charitable boards and is a founding member of Saint Martin De Porres Academy a tuition free Catholic nativity school serving the inner city New Haven population.
